Assistant Service Manager
Langley (Head Office)

Rollins Machinery, a lower mainland-based equipment distributor, is growing and we are currently looking for an experienced, motivated individual to fill an Assistant Service Manager position based out of our Langley Head Office.

SALARY

  • $70,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience, skills and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In collaboration with the Service Manager, oversee and create goals/objectives for the Service Department in relation to staffing, operating budgets and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the day-to-day workflow and customer care of the Service department.
  • Completing and processing warranty documentation with multiple manufacturers in a timely fashion.
  • Communicating directly with customers.
  • Producing estimates as required.
  • Completing month-end procedures for the Service shop.
  • Manage Service Writer tasks as assigned for completion of Service work orders & invoicing.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of similar experience in a Service shop managing people & paperwork.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems would be an asset.
  • A knowledge of refuse truck bodies; agricultural, mowing and paving equipment is considered a definite asset but not a requirement.
  • This position would also suit an experienced mechanic looking to take the next step in their career.
  • Strong computer skills with Outlook, Word & Excel. Knowledge of DIS Quantum is an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication as well as interpersonal skills.

Service Manager / Head Mechanic
Kelowna

Rollins Machinery, a lower mainland-based equipment distributor, is growing and we are currently looking for a motivated, experienced individual to fill a Service Manager / Head Mechanic position based out of our Kelowna location.

SALARY

  • $40 – $45 per hour, based on experience, skills and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pre-delivery work, new installations, diagnose, disassemble, correct malfunctions and do repairs of all municipal refuse truck bodies; agricultural, vineyard, mowing and paving equipment; and various other lines that Rollins Machinery represents.
  • Creating / maintaining work orders (logs of equipment condition and work performed), and handle warranty as needed.
  • Explain work orders to customers and deal with any issues may arise.
  • Provide guidance to Apprentices and keep track of their hours for their Apprenticeship Program.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Foreman.
  • Class 1 or 3 driver’s licence is preferred
  • Ticket in heavy-duty mechanics, with the ideal candidate being an experienced mechanic and certified Journeyperson in the Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Knowledge of refuse truck bodies, farm equipment and mowing equipment is considered an asset.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems is an asset.

This role will require the right candidate to take on full leadership of the sales team and have an aggressive approach to growing the business.

SALARY

  • $100,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience, skills and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow top-line revenue with existing and new customers.
  • Foster customer-centric relationships and track progress as customers move through the sales pipeline.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships and convey the Company’s value/offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a competitive assessment and strategic positioning plan.
  • Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
  • Guide, coach, and support the Sales department.

  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work flexible hours.
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and sales skills.

Rollins Machinery, a lower mainland-based equipment distributor, is growing and we are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our team, at our Langley Head Office. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring that all items are accurately processed and documented. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution and a strong understanding of shipping and receiving protocols.

SALARY

  • $20 – $22 per hour, based on experience, skills and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them accurately.
  • Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems.
  • Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency in operations.
  • Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate inventory counts and order processing.
  • Inspect and verify goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and reject damaged goods.
  • Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bill of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or online.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve shipping/receiving processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is an asset, particularly in shipping/receiving.
  • Strong basic math skills for accurate inventory management.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklift or hand truck safely.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds as needed and stand for long periods of time. The role is physically demanding.
